Disclaimer
Please read this Disclaimer carefully before using this site. It applies to this website and to every study site I run, including the CIPP/E guide and the AIGP guide. By accessing or using the materials, you accept this Disclaimer in full. If you do not accept it, please do not use the site. Nothing in this Disclaimer affects your statutory rights as a consumer (see Your consumer rights below).
Independent - not affiliated or endorsed
These are independent, self-published study guides that I run as an individual based in the United Kingdom. The guides are not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to any certification body in any way. In particular, these guides are not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
Any reference to the IAPP, its certifications, or its examinations is for identification and descriptive purposes only. No partnership, agency, sponsorship, or official relationship of any kind is implied or should be inferred.

Educational purpose only - not legal advice
The content here is provided for general educational and examination-preparation purposes only. It is not legal advice and must not be relied upon as such. Reading or using these materials does not create any lawyer-client, professional, advisory, or other relationship between you and the operator. For advice on your specific circumstances, consult a suitably qualified professional.
No guarantee of exam success
Using these materials does not guarantee that you will pass any examination, achieve any particular score, or obtain any particular result. The certification bodies set, administer, and control their own examinations and bodies of knowledge. The operator has no involvement in, access to, or influence over the official exams, their content, their marking, or their outcomes, and makes no representation about them.
Accuracy and currency
The materials are prepared with care, but they may contain errors, omissions, or simplifications, and they may become out of date as laws, regulations, and examination syllabi change. Nothing here is a substitute for the official primary sources or the certification body's current body of knowledge. You should always verify any point against:
- the applicable legislation, regulations, guidance, and case law in their current form; and
- the certification body's official, up-to-date body of knowledge and examination materials.
Provided "as is" - no warranties
The materials are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties or representations of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator disclaims all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, and non-infringement, and does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. This is subject to your statutory rights as a consumer, set out below.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the materials or the site. This includes, without limitation, any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage, any loss of profits, opportunity, data, or goodwill, and any examination outcome, however caused and on any theory of liability. Nothing in this Disclaimer limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any breach of the statutory rights described below.
Your consumer rights
If you buy paid access to a question bank, you are buying digital content as a consumer. Nothing in this Disclaimer affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Under that Act, paid digital content supplied to you must be of satisfactory quality, fit for its intended purpose, and as described, and those statutory rights cannot be excluded or limited by this Disclaimer or by any other term.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you normally have a 14-day right to cancel a purchase of digital content. However, when you buy a question bank you receive immediate, lifetime access to the digital content. By proceeding to buy and access it straight away, you consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day cancellation right once the content has started to be supplied. If immediate access is not provided, or the digital content is faulty or not as described, you remain entitled to the remedies (including a refund where appropriate) available under the legislation above.
At your own risk
Subject to your statutory rights as a consumer, you use the materials at your own risk and are responsible for any decisions you make or actions you take based on them, including how you prepare for and sit any examination.
